URL Submission & Unlocking Uploads

Why there's a gate

Tracksynk's catalogue is curated. We don't want anyone with an account to upload anything. To protect the bar for quality, every new artist submits a link to existing music (Spotify, SoundCloud, Bandcamp, your own site) before uploads unlock.

Once an admin reviews and approves your submission, your account flips to State 2 (full member, uploads enabled). You can then create an artist profile and start uploading.

Submitting your link

From your account dashboard (visible only to signed-in members who haven't yet been approved), the Unlock Panel walks you through it. Drop in a public link to your work, optionally your name and a social link, and submit.

You can also submit a link without an account. The homepage and For Artists page both have "apply for the roster" forms. If we approve a submission tied to an email that later signs up, your upload access auto-unlocks the moment you create the account.

What happens next

Submissions go to the Tracksynk team's review queue. We listen, check the rights situation, and decide.

Most submissions get a decision within a working day. If approved, you get an email with a "you're in" message and a link to log in and start setting up. If rejected, the submission quietly disappears from your account, no email sent.

After approval

Two things need to happen before you can publish a track.

Create an artist profile (one per name you release under, you can have several). Connect a Stripe Express account so we can pay you.

Both happen inside your account at /account/artists and /account/info. Once both are done, the upload routes are fully open.
