Uploading & Managing Tracks

Two paths to upload

Tracksynk has two upload flows. Manual Upload is for the artist who wants to fill in everything: title, genres, moods, tempo, description, tags, pricing per tier, cover art. Smart Upload is for the artist who wants to drop the audio in and let us handle the metadata.

Both are at /account/upload. Pick the flow that fits your day.

Manual Upload

The form walks you through three steps. The Track step takes your wav and cover art. Classification covers genres, moods, tempo, key, vocals, instruments, description, tags. Licensing & Pricing is where you set per-tier prices and decide whether to enable Personal Use ($1.99 fixed) for that track.

You can upload one track at a time or a batch of up to 15 in a single submission. Batch upload uses shared metadata across all tracks (genres, moods, pricing) so you're not re-filling the same fields per track. Title and audio file stay per-track.

Smart Upload

Drop your audio files in, fill in nothing, hit submit. Our team reviews the audio, fills in title, genres, moods, tempo, description, tags, and pricing on your behalf. You don't pay extra for this, it's just how some artists prefer to work.

Smart-uploaded tracks sit in your Submitted tab with a "Smart Upload" badge until our team finishes the metadata. Once we publish, they move to your Published tab the same as any other track.

If you have specific pricing or tier preferences for a smart- uploaded track, mention them in the notes field at upload time.

Approval timing

Manual uploads land in admin review. Most are approved within a working day. If we approve, the track goes live on the public catalogue immediately and you get an email letting you know.

Track approval emails are on by default. You can mute them at /account/info if you'd rather not be pinged.

If we reject a submission, the track disappears from your Submitted tab. No email, no record. We expect to come back to you separately if there's anything to discuss.

Managing your live tracks

/account/published shows everything live. Click the pencil on any row to edit metadata, pricing, or cover art. Edits go live immediately and propagate across the catalogue.

To remove a track, hit the trash icon. The track soft-deletes: hidden from browse and search, but anyone who already licensed it can still download and use it (we don't break existing licences).

To restore a soft-deleted track, head to /account/trash and hit Restore on the row.

Editing limitations on submitted tracks

Smart Upload tracks awaiting our review can't be edited from your end (the metadata is what our team is working on). You'll see an "admin handling" badge instead of an Edit button on those rows.

Manual upload tracks awaiting approval CAN be edited. Useful if you spot a typo while waiting.
