Licensing & Pricing
How tier pricing works
Each track you upload has its own price per tier. You decide what IndieSynk costs, what StudioSynk costs, and whether Personal Use is enabled for the track. CustomSynk is negotiated per-deal so there's no upfront price to set.
Set prices at upload time, or edit them later from the Published tab.
Recommended pricing
The platform has suggested ranges based on what's converting on the catalogue today. IndieSynk typically runs $50 to $200, StudioSynk $300 to $2000, CustomSynk on request. You're free to price above or below the recommendations.
Lower prices generally convert faster on Indie tier (creators are price-sensitive). Higher prices on Studio tier signal commercial-grade work and tend not to hurt conversion on briefs that have real budget.
Personal Use opt-in
If you tick "Allow Personal Use" on a track, that track also sells at the platform-fixed $1.99 price for anyone who just wants the song to listen to (not for commercial use). Personal Use is non-commercial only and carries no sync rights. Some artists like the option, others don't enable it.
There are no seller terms to accept for Personal Use, since the buyer's rights are limited and standardised.
CustomSynk opt-in
If you want CustomSynk requests routed to you, tick the "Allow CustomSynk requests" checkbox on the track. Buyers can then send you bespoke deal proposals through the request flow, and you negotiate the terms before either party commits. Either party can withdraw at any point before both "Agree" buttons are clicked. Admin handles agreement drafting and Stripe handoff after both Agrees.
If you don't enable CustomSynk on a track, requests for that track aren't possible. You can enable per-track or batch-set it via Smart Upload defaults.
Service fee + your cut
When a licence sells, the buyer pays the track price plus a 5% service fee. You receive 75% of the track price. Tracksynk keeps 25% of the track price plus the full 5% service fee.
Example: you price IndieSynk at $100. Buyer pays $105 at checkout. You receive $75. Tracksynk receives $30 ($25 + $5).
