Setting Up Your Artist Profile

Multi-identity model

You can hold multiple artist profiles on a single Tracksynk account. One member, many releases. Your indie folk solo project, your hip hop side alias, your band, your library work, each gets its own profile with its own bio, banner, avatar, social links, and catalogue.

Add and manage profiles at /account/artists. There's no hard cap, but in practice three or four is the most we've seen.

Filling out the profile

Every profile needs a name, a slug (auto-generated from the name, editable), a bio, an avatar, and a banner image. Social links are optional but help discovery (Spotify, Instagram, TikTok, your own site).

The avatar shows up on every track row, the banner is the hero on your public profile page at /artist/[slug]. We recommend square avatars at least 800x800 and wide banners at least 2000x800.

Why the banner image matters

Your banner is your shop window. It rotates through the homepage hero on /v2 (if your profile is in the spotlight rotation), it anchors your profile page, and it appears on testimonials if we feature you. A well-shot banner image lifts the whole presentation.

If you don't have one yet, you can upload anything for now and swap it later. Profile edits go live immediately.

Editing a profile

From /account/artists, hit Edit on any profile to update name, bio, social links, or swap the banner / avatar. Changes save the moment you click Save. No version history, no publishing flow, no admin review needed for edits to your own profile.
